In Q3 2022, the carpooling and ridesharing app landscape in Kuwait showcased varying trends in weekly downloads and active users across the top five apps. Below is a detailed look at each app's performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride saw a steady pattern in weekly downloads, starting at around 2K and peaking at 2.8K in mid-July. Downloads then experienced a gradual decline, settling at approximately 1.5K by the end of September. The app maintained a strong presence in terms of weekly active users, beginning the quarter with 56.4K and climbing to nearly 65.7K by the last week of September.

Careem – rides, food & more started Q3 with over 2.6K downloads but faced a downward trend, ending the quarter with roughly 1.9K downloads. The app's weekly active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 34.8K and ending at about 33.2K.

inDrive. Save on city rides had a more variable download trend, peaking at 1.5K in mid-August before declining to around 725 by the end of the quarter. Active users for the app increased from 6.9K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 8.8K by the end of September.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a modest increase in downloads, starting at 669 and peaking at 1.2K at the end of August, before dipping to about 589 by the end of September. The app's active users rose from 2.4K at the beginning of the quarter to around 3.3K by the end.

RideRove began Q3 with 1.1K downloads, but saw a decline throughout the quarter, ending with approximately 613 downloads. Unfortunately, data on weekly active users for RideRove was not available.
